Setup was a breeze. We connected via HDMI to our Asus laptop simply by plugging it in. Select the HDMI input on the projector and ensure your computer detects the addition of a new display. After these few steps, it was good to go.

Given the resolution is pretty low at 800*480, it actually displays quite fine even with a high res input, and for the price it definitely passes. Been using it for the odd movie night and game session, and we've been having lots of fun with it. The retro style games look awesome with this blown up across our wall.

For the best viewing experience, you need to be in pure darkness with this projector, and that's when it really shines. The speaker leaves something to be desired, but if you are using this for the speaker you should reconsider your setup! Just hook up to an external audio source using the output found on the projector.

We did find the fan was quite loud, so ensure your audio source is rockin' so it overwhelms the fan -- this way you wont even notice it.

We had some issues with the controller when we first tested this projector and the merchant quickly mailed us out a new one with no question. We actually managed to get the first one to work after some poking around, but we wanted to mention the kindness and amazing customer service from this company.

For recreational entertainment, this projector gets a pass. We love it.
